Robinson
R22 carrier basically is to maneuver the two bladed rotor wing aircraft on
ground. It is because the aircraft was only design with skid and rear auxiliary
wheels by the manufacturer. However, the aircraft needs large human effort by
lift the aircraft and drag it. The lifting can be done by pressing the tail rod
downward at the empennage section of the helicopter. Therefore, the Robinson
R22 Carrier is to be design to decrease the human effort while moving the aircraft
from one point to another without the power of engine. It would be an effective
way of innovation for the aircraft ground handling task. This carrier also will
not harm any part of the aircraft when installed to the helicopter.
Besides, our project is far more
better than current carrier which is in service now. There are several points
to be compare such as the size, weight, cost, space occupied, way of handling,
installation, and quantity of material used.

MATERIAL SELECTION
Material selection is the most important thing before the
project designed. Material used for the product designed must be identified
precisely. Knowledge related to material specification related and metal
properties needed in order to sustain the quality of the product. Among the
factor is the product objective, material, design, weight and current
technology product.
Project
material selection have been done after the design finish by using hand
sketching at the initial drawing. Material which will be used for this project
need to be research and analyst in order
to make sure the material used fulfill the specification of metal needed so
that the product produce is in high quality. After all material needed
identified, further precise drawing can be design by using Solid Work Design
Software as a reference in manufacture the product.
